Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will meet your Go To Africa Safaris representative and private driver-guide. You’ll be transferred to your hotel in Kigali and given time to relax after your journey.

After breakfast, begin your Rwanda adventure with a guided Kigali city tour.

The drive takes you through Rwanda’s beautiful countryside, with rolling hills, farms, and rural communities along the way.

Wake up early for your first wildlife adventure.
After breakfast, head into Akagera National Park for a morning game drive. The park is home to elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles, and many bird species.

After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Ihema. This is a wonderful opportunity to see hippos and crocodiles close to the water while enjoying the park’s spectacular scenery and birdlife.

Today is mainly a scenic travel day as you cross the country from east to southwest. Enjoy views of Rwanda’s famous rolling hills, tea plantations, villages, and countryside.
Arrive near Nyungwe Forest National Park in the evening and settle into your lodge.

Today brings another exciting primate experience.
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your chimpanzee trekking experience.
Walk through the ancient Nyungwe rainforest in search of habituated chimpanzees. The forest is also home to several monkey species and an impressive variety of birds.

Once you locate the chimpanzees, you’ll have time to observe their natural behavior before returning to the starting point.
Spend the evening relaxing at your lodge.

After breakfast, depart Nyungwe and drive toward Lake Kivu, one of Rwanda’s most beautiful destinations.

After an early breakfast, travel to the park headquarters for a briefing from the park authorities. You’ll then begin your mountain gorilla trek through the beautiful forests of Volcanoes National Park.
The trek can take several hours depending on where the gorilla family is located. Once you find them, spend precious time observing these remarkable animals in their natural habitat.
Watch them feed, play, rest, and interact with one another while maintaining the required distance and following the park’s conservation guidelines.
After your trek, return to the lodge for a well-earned rest.
